Show me your tech stack!

Recommended Posts

Hello there!

Since there is a Technology/Coding subforum I thought it would be nice to share our tech stacks in here.

I'll start with mine:

Programming languages:
- PHP ( Mostly using the Symfony framework )
- Javascript ( React, React Native, Angular and ALOT of other libraries)
- Python ( Django and Flask mostly )
- Java

Data:
- SQL
- MongoDB
- Redis
- Elasticsearch

Devops:
- Vagrant ( Mostly legacy projects )
- Docker ( Also with Kubernetes, Rancher and other cool Docker stuff )
- AWS (Gotta love their services)
- Saltstack

I'm doing a minor in programming now which has greatly expanded my tech stack

Languages:
* PHP (Symfony <3 )
* Javascript
* C
* Python
* Java (Android is pain)
* Salesforce Apex (Yes that's a thing that exists)

Databases:
I prefer SQL but really just give me whatever and I'll read up on it

DevOps:
I don't care too much for devops, most projects that I contributed to that were large enough to have devops needs already had everything set up for me.
* Docker
* Git
* CI tools like Jenkins

Right now I'm doing a project on algorithm design and heuristics. We're working on a case were we need to plan out a neighbourhood as efficiently as possible. We have a simple hill climbing algorithm and we're now working on simulated annealing and a population based algorithm using plant propagation. Really fun stuff to work on! Oh and I also work as a Salesforce Developer, which means making business application on a platform with some shitty limitations but for twice the salary.

Languages

  • PHP (most proficient)
  • Javascript
  • C++
  • Solidity
  • Java (least proficient)

I kind of want to learn Rust but I haven't found the time to start on it

Databases

  • SQL
  • Blockchain (the slowest database in the world, but its distributed, append only and censorship resistant)

I am a hobbyist programmer so my tech stack is limited, and don't have a lof of experience with DevOps tools

I always am working on my own random projects in my free time. As an example, a few years ago I made a WordFeud bot. At some point I stopped playing w/ my friends and family and replaced myself with the bot. I suddenly got a lot better!

Yo,

I am on javascript hype train, but I have a lot of experiences with different languages:

* Javascript (Typescript) - React,  Rreact native  and a lot of different javascript frameworks

* PHP - Wordpress slave

* Python - Scraping web all day

* Objective c - Made bachelors thesis and some fun stuff

* Erlang - Made REST service for parsing wireshark traces

* C/C++ - Like every IT student

I used few databases, but it's too big of a pain to deal with it, so I am using now Prisma https://www.prisma.io/, which creates GraphQl API on top database currently only SQL and Postgress. I used in production:
* Mongodb

* SQL

Devops I don't want to deal with this shit so i am using mostly docker,  AWS what is pain in ass and currently in love with https://zeit.co/now

I am big fan of opensource and graphql and contributes daily  :) If you have some question just ask

Oh, about WordPress... I have nightmares about it >.<

Nice techstack man!

Welp, here we go if you really want to know hahaha, I've worn a lot of hats in my tiny 6-year career albeit less on the developer's side and more towards the ops side. But I still like to think I have pretty good knowledge of both ends.

Programming/scripting: (from best to worst)

  • Python
  • Bash
  • Powershell
  • Ruby
  • PHP

Data:

  • MSSQL
  • MySQL
  • Percona XtraDB cluster
  • MongoDB
  • Redis
  • Elasticsearch
  • NoSQL

DevOps:

  • Octopus continues delivery
  • Ansible / Ansible tower
  • Puppet / Foreman
  • Jenkins
  • AWS / Azure
  • Kubernetes(K8)  / Docker
  • Vagrant (mostly for testing local)

Source control:

  • Git (especially bitbucket for life)
  • TFS

Networking:

  • Cisco ASA
  • Cisco Switches
  • Fortigate Next-Gen firewalls

Reliability engineering:

  • HAproxy
  • ProxySQL
  • KeepaliveD
  • DRBD(Distributed Replicated Block Device)

So if anyone ever needs some general help on the ops side of DevOps things that's pretty much where I have most of my knowledge.
